How to Make Baby Food
Have you ever thought about making your own baby food? It is super easy. Once you get the hang of it, you won't want to stop. There are so many combinations and recipes for making your own baby food. I've tried to make these steps as easy as I can for you guys to follow. Have fun! :)
Step1
First things first. Make sure the ice trays are clean. Run them through the dishwasher or wash in hot soapy water. Please make sure all parts of the processor and steamer are clean prior to making baby food every time.
Step2
Remember you can buy fresh fruits and veggies that are organically grown. It is best to use fresh food for baby food. Steaming the foods helps keep the nutrients in as opposed to boiling the food. Lets start with making carrots.
Step3
You will want to wash the carrots with a safe veggie cleaner purchased from the supermarket. Rinse well and peel. Cut the carrots into big chunks and place into the steamer. Steam until they are very tender.
Step4
Next put the carrots into the baby food processor and puree until all lumps are gone. You may add a little water from the steamer if they need extra liquid.
Step5
Lastly, pour the baby food into an ice tray, let the food cool then freeze. When frozen, pop into a ziploc freezer bag and date with a permanent marker. Just thaw some cubes in the refrigerator for that day's feeding. Simple..your done. Baby will love it.
